Story
In 2006 after 17 years working as Executive Chef for the chain Hilton, Chef Stef decided to start his own catering business named SOS CHEF and a year later he opened his tapas bar Alleygria in the heart of Saint John New Brunswick. After the building was sold in 2013 chef Stef had to close his successful tapas bar and continue with the catering and other project until 2020 when the pandemic hits the hospitality industries forcing to pause the catering until the restriction was over.
While waiting to get back to action chef Stef did a survey to customers, friends, and family for what he should do after the pandemic. A lot of comments was about missing the amazing tapas, something you cannot find in the city.
The pandemic teaches something to Chef Stef, he discovered even with the pandemic the customers want to eat great meal and turned to curb side pickup, home delivery, meals to go and more.
Did not take him too long to come with his after pandemic new venture by evolving is catering business to be Alegria Tapas - Events & Receptions. Focusing on tapas and platters only, his specialty.
